The Indonesian Link
Although a large part of the production of our new desks takes place in the Netherlands, the complex wooden frames of our desks are produced in Indonesia, by our professional partner in Jepara.
When we decided that we also wanted to add new desks to our range, we went looking for the best craftsmen. We first searched in our area, but soon discovered that the production of complex, solid wooden furniture has largely disappeared from the Netherlands.
We found the solution far away, namely Indonesia. When an acquaintance of ours pointed us to the furniture production in Jepara. We visited Jepara and were impressed by the expertise in woodworking in this region. The craftsmanship is passed on from generation to generation.
We went looking for a professional, reliable partner and we found one quickly. That's where our collaboration started.
Finishing
When we receive an order for a desk, we start by staining the blank frame of the desk. This way we make the desk in the color of the customer's choice.
After staining, we varnish the desk with two layers of clear varnish. This ensures that the desk is resistant to stains and scratches.
When the desk is varnished and has dried for a day, we put leather in the top. Then we attach the handles.
After a final check, the desk is delivered to the customer.
